# BotSee > BotSee is an AI visibility and GEO tracking REST API built for agents. It measures brand mentions, brand citations, cited sources, and competitor share of voice across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok, and returns structured JSON that agents and scripts can act on. BotSee is the programmatic interface to the RivalSee AI search visibility platform (https://www.rivalsee.com). A caller creates a site, generates or supplies customer types, personas, and questions, then runs an analysis. Each analysis returns raw model responses, cited sources, competitor mentions, keyword gaps, source opportunities, and recommendations. Webhooks fire on `analysis.completed`, `analysis.failed`, `visibility.changed`, and `citation.loss`, so agents can react to shifts without polling. Base URL: `https://botsee.io/api/v1`. Authentication is a bearer token: `Authorization: Bearer bts_live_...`; `x-api-key` and an `api_key` query parameter are also accepted. Rate limit is 600 requests per minute per key, reported via `x-ratelimit-limit`, `x-ratelimit-remaining`, and `x-ratelimit-reset` headers. Billing is pay-per-run, roughly $0.45 to $1.20 per analysis, with credit-card, USDC, and x402 signup paths and optional auto-recharge. BotSee is used from coding and research agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, and Hermes, and from any HTTP client. It also works as an MCP connector in ChatGPT, Claude, and other MCP clients at `https://botsee.io/mcp`, with OAuth sign-in and no API key to copy. It is listed in the official MCP Registry as `io.botsee/botsee`. It does not crawl competitor websites or perform traditional SEO audits. ## API documentation - [API documentation](https://botsee.io/docs): Full endpoint reference covering authentication, sites, customer types, personas, questions, analysis, content generation, usage, billing, and webhooks -
